However, what many pundits forgot to mention is the fact that successive German governments, both loft- and right-of-center,have been reducing the government's direct exposure to the system, i.e, how much the government will be willing to pay by creating retrenchment policies in this policy area.

It appears that Dmitry Medvedev is breaking from previous statements from Putin. I don't think this is the first time that Medvedev has come out negatively against the Stalin regime since 2008.

Well, the British manufactured majority (probably a misnomer at the moment) system gave the Tories nearly 46% of the sears even though they won something like 35% of the popular vote, Labour with 39% of the seats with 29% of the vote and the Lib-Demos with 9% of the seats with 26% of the vote. This is why the Lib-Demos wanted electoral reforms.
