Quite puzzling as to why this Nazi would do this. Perhaps he had a change of heart and wanted to document where the crimes took place, he wanted them for a "trophy" of the nazi's brutality, or he put his professionalism ahead of his personal feelings for a project. In any case, stunningly cold pictures of a place filled with the memories of every sort of human deprevity.
