It is a silly and amateurish notion Mr. Heffer is advocating that the Germans alone are "letting Putin weak havoc." What Mr. Heffer fails to really mention is that no one in the West, not just Germany, has the ability to really put a stop to Putin's moves in the Ukraine. While Merkel may have cordial relations with Putin, that doesn't make her and the German leadership Putin's BFF.
